New e-services of Birth and Death certificates launched in Absher


The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority(SDAIA), represented by National Information Center, and the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Civil Status, Lieutenant General Suleiman Al-Yahya, launched new electronic services for Civil Affairs via the Absher platform at the Ministry of Interior's employees club in Riyadh. According to the Civil Affairs, the new services include the ability to access digital birth certificates, issue and view death certificates, and verify digital birth and death certificates.

- Male and female Saudi citizens as well as resident expatriates are allowed to view a beneficiary's or a member of his family's digital birth certificate through the digital birth certificate display service in Absher platform, with the possibility of printing it.

- While the death certificate issue service allows both male and female Saudi Citizens as well as resident expats to electronically record the deaths of their loved ones, parents, or employees who are sponsored after being informed by the hospital in a similar way. - Beneficiaries can see the digital death certificate via the death certificate viewing service and authorize printing of the document for immediate relatives, parents, or sponsored employees.

- The launch took place at the Ministry of Interior's staff club in Riyadh under the auspices of Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, Dr. Esam Al-Wagait, the director of the National Information Center, as well as other top officials from the ministry, the National Information Center, and the Civil Affairs Department were also present.

- According to the Civil Status Department, beneficiaries can electronically check the authenticity of birth and death certificates via the digital birth certificate and death certificate verification program. It was noted that by connecting into their user accounts on the Absher platform, the beneficiaries could examine the policies and specifications of the new services. - These services are part of the electronic transaction development steps meant to streamline processes, save time and effort, and raise the caliber of services provided to beneficiaries.
