Insurance for Domestic Workers is not Mandatory, it was introduced only to new Labor contracts


The Musaned platform in Saudi Arabia revealed that domestic worker insurance is limited only to new labor contracts. According to the platform, insurance coverage for domestic worker contracts is not mandatory. Trending : Umrah Health Insurance covers these all cases



For now the domestic worker contracts can be insured optionally, after agreeing to enter into the insurance service when contracting through the Musaned platform. This service was launched experimentally, added the platform.

- As per the Musaned, the option to provide insurance can be taken at the time the labor contract is signed and that domestic workers cannot be insured once they have arrived in the Kingdom. See Also : Each worker can avail only one Health Insurance policy

- The platform also stated that the price of insurance varies depending on a number of variables, including the worker's job, monthly salary, nationality, age, and contract price. The contract invoice may include a reference to the insurance amount.

- If an employer decides to terminate the insurance coverage after the domestic worker arrives, he or she should get in touch with the insurance provider directly in accordance with the insurer's cancellation procedure.

- The Musaned platform has been established by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development as its official website for household services and home employment programs, defining the rights and obligations of the house worker and the employer. - With the intention of safeguarding the rights of the worker and the employer by compensating them through a variety of insurance advantages, it introduced insurance on domestic worker new contracts.
