Saudi Arabia announces Eid Al-Fitr holidays for the Private and non-Profit sectors


The dates of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr holidays for the private and non-profit sectors were announced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Join Saudi Expatriates on Telegram







The MHRSD through its official Twitter account stated that the Eid Al-Fitr holidays begins from the end of working hours on Thursday, 29th Ramadan 1444, which is 20th April 2023 and continues for 4 days. See Also : Eid Al-Fitr is most likely to fall on 21st April 2023

- The Ministry of Human Resources further stated that the employer must abide by the guidelines set forth in Article (24)'s second paragraph of the executive regulations governing the Saudi labor law.





- When the days of weekends and holidays coincide, according to the second paragraph of Article 24 of the Saudi Labor Law's executive regulations, the weekly rest must be made up by the equivalent of the days before or after those holidays.

- The length of the annual leave must be increased by the number of days during these holidays. The worker is entitled to receive their full pay for the days spent on these leaves, regardless of the amount that is owed for the days spent on sick leave.
