GCC resident expats of any profession can now get Visa on Arrival of the Sultanate of Oman


GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) resident expatriates of any profession are now allowed to enter into the Sultanate of Oman for the purpose of business, tourism and any other. GCC countries consists of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman. Trending : Saudi Arabia launched Riyadh Season 2022 with 8,500 activities in 15 zones







GCC residents can enter into Oman through any border, including countries where they are not reside. However, these resident expats still need visas, which they can get on arrival at all border posts of all the GCC countries.

- As per the circular issued by Oman Airports, Oman now allows all GCC residents with a valid residency and work visa issued by any of the GCC country (UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Qatar) immigration authorities, irrespective of their profession. - Oman Airports clarified that under the new rule, resident expats with valid residency and work visas will be allowed to visit any of the GCC country from any where, not only from the country of residence.





- The new directive means that all GCC residents, including residents of Oman can now travel freely around GCC countries. However, there will be a fee for on arrival visa. They cannot be denied entry as long as the residence visa is valid with at least 3 months validity.

- This new move to boost the tourism in all GCC states, also on short holidays, expats in Oman will be able to visit other GCC countries easily without worrying about visa applications as they will be offered visa on arrival.
