Saudi Central Bank warns against interacting with Messages claiming to suspend Bank accounts or requests to Update data


The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) warned against interacting with any messages that claims to suspend your bank accounts or request to update of your bank data. Trending : Fines for cybercrimes involving financial fraud in Saudi Arabia








Saudi Central Bank through its official Twitter handle called its customers to think twice before interacting with these messages or calls, highlighting the need to communicate with the bank only through its official channels.

- The Central Bank of Saudi Arabia renewed its warning to Saudi nationals and resident expatriates against dealing with unlicensed forex companies. See Also : Ministry of Interior called everyone to protect their banking information and not reveal it to anyone

- The Saudi Central Bank confirmed that no matter how tempting the ads are do not get carried away with the ads of unlicensed forex parties, especially on social media platforms.





- Fraudulent methods include publishing fabricated videos on social media that appears as news bulletins broadcasting official news by opening new investment channels for citizens and residents and inviting them to register their names and data, with the aim of deceiving people by transferring money to them.

- It also includes fake e-platforms, phone calls impersonating government departments like Public Investment Fund, Saudi Vision 2030 projects and well known companies like Saudi Electricity company, National Water Company, Aramco company and others and deluding victims of their affiliation with those departments to gain the trust of the victim and lure them into profitable opportunities, by trading in foreign currencies. - These scammers are also creating fake online platforms that impersonate names and brands and marketing through social media accounts.




- Earlier this, the Public Security in Saudi Arabia renewed its warning against fraudsters, stating that they use innovative methods to entrap their victims.

- Saudi Public Security through its official tweet said, scammers can use many innovative ways to inflict victims, stating that the person's data is his responsibility. Recommend : Beware of misleading forex ads with quick profit

- In an awareness message the Public Security added that claiming to win gifts, that there are no free prizes, referring to the importance of data protection and confronting cybercrime.
