Food Safety specialist in Saudi Arabia, Fahd Al-Saeed said that keeping food outside the refrigerator for more than 2 hours may cause food poisoning. See Also : The cost of food waste in Saudi Arabia exceeds 40 billion riyals in a year







During his interview with Al-Ekhbariya channel, Al-Saeed said that one of the reason for food poisoning during this period is the high temperatures in the Kingdom.

- He added that, bacteria multiplies in cooked food and the symptoms of food poisoning is differ from one person to another, and its result may reach the miscarriage of the fetus during pregnancy or the occurrence of premature birth. - The Food Safety specialist further explained that food poisonings cases may affect certain individuals among a group of people, due to the difference in gender, age group, immune system and health status.

- Al-Saeed also state that severe food poisoning includes miscarriage and common symptoms like colic, diarrhea, vomiting and affects children with dehydration which may lead to death. Recommend : Experts warns of doing special exercise before going to sleep
