Immunization is a condition for allowing to Itikaf in the Two Holy Mosques and the permit is valid until the end of the Eid night


The Assistant Undersecretary for Dawah and Guidance Affairs in the Two Holy Mosques, Dr. Bader Al-Fraih, the Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques is keen to provide the best services to visitors of the Grand Mosque especially during this holy month Ramadan.







While speaking to Al-Ekhbariya, Al-Fraih said that the turnout this year for Itikaf in the Grand Mosque was very high, especially after the halt of the past 2 years due to precautionary measures to confront the corona pandemic.

- The presidency expected this high turnout and allowed only first 5 days of the Ramadan for the application and the number of applicants reached to more than 2,000. Read : All types of visa holders can issue Umrah permit before their entry into Kingdom

- Al-Fraih reviewed the requirements that must be met by those seeking Itikaf, which are identity and the completion of the immunization procedures against Covid-19, stating that Itikaf permit will not be issued unless these requirements are completed.





- The validity of the Itikaf permit continues until the end of the last 10 days of the blessed month Ramadan, highlighting that the validity of the permit starts from 21st Ramadan until the night of Eid Al-Fitr.

- He added that, no one will be allowed to enter the sanctuary of the designated places for Itikaf in the Grand Mosque of Makkah and Prophet's Mosque without a permit from the competent authorities.

- According to the Director for Dawah and Guidance at the Grand Mosque, Majid Al-Masoudi the allocation booth in front of the expansion of King Abdullah in the Grand Mosque of Makkah, to deliver Itikaf permits, so that worshipers could enter their places. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Linkedin
