Delaying the Salary of a worker is a violation of the Labor Law - MHRSD


The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) in Saudi Arabia has warned business owners and employers against delaying the payment of salaries to the workers, as it is a violation of the applicable labor law. The Ministry explained that it has opened the door to receive notifications regarding violations of the labor law, and this is through the unified application of the Ministry through the following link.

- This came in response from the Ministry's customer care account on Twitter to a complaint from a Saudi citizen, who had not been paid his salary for 3 months.

Friendly Settlement on a labor complaint :

- The Director of the Human Resources and Social Development Branch in Asir, Hadi Al-Shahrani said that the friendly settlement department has completed a labor invitation with an amount of more than 400,000 riyals for a resident expat, and this is not the first settlement case. - Speaking to Al Ekhbariya channel, He said, "We have a large number of cases on which a specialized work team in the friendly settlement departments in the Asir branch is based".

- Al-Shahrani added that, "Few months ago, an amount of more than 12 million riyals was returned to an employee, and this is the first stage of the consideration of cases of labor disputes between the worker and the employer."

- He explained that, “There is governance for this process, So that it does not exceed 21 working days from the date of the first session to be decided on this date, and there is also follow-up and monitoring of the friendly settlement sessions and follow-up to their mastery with high quality.
