Ministry of Interior warns establishments with a fine of 200,000 riyals and closure for 6 months on violating precautions


The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia has warned private sector companies for failure in adhere to the precautionary and preventive measures in order to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, stating that this violation will cost the establishment a fine.







The ministry through its official Twitter account said that the violation of the non-compliance of private sector companies with the precautionary and preventive measures approved by the competent authority includes the following:

* Not checking the health status of individuals from the applications designated for that.

* Allowing entry to non-vaccinated persons. Trending : Is Booster dose a condition for entering into Saudi Arabia

* Allowing entry to those who are not committed in wearing a mask.

* Allowing the person to enter the facility, who is proven to be infected.

* Not securing disinfectants and sterilizers in the places designated for them.





* Non-compliance by the establishments with the approved protocols by not carrying out the required tests for their employees.

* Not disinfecting carts and shopping baskets after each use.

- The ministry confirmed that the penalty on this violations will be based on the size of the facility, explaining,

* A micro company with 1 to 5 employees starts with a fine of 10,000 riyals, a small facility with 6 to 49 employees is 20,000, and a medium-sized establishment with 50 to 249 employees will be fined 50,000 riyals, and a large company which contains more than 250 employees for them the fine is 100,000 riyals.




- The ministry explained that the penalty imposed on the previous time will be doubled upon repeating and it may reaches 200,000 riyals, and the entity within its supervisory scope, when necessary, imposes a closure penalty not exceeding 6 months.

- The responsible person for the branch of the facility shall be punished with a financial fine according to what mentioned as per the size of the facility, and the penalty imposed on the previous time will be doubled upon repetition and may reaches 100,000 riyals. - The person responsible for the facility branch, upon repetition for the second time, shall be referred to the Public Prosecution to consider his imprisonment in accordance with the established regular procedures.




- Restaurants and cafes and the similar are excluded from the specified closure periods, and they are as follows,
