List of Countries that scrapped PCR test before arrival to their entry points


As Omicron infection started dip after a spike, number of countries are adjusting their travel rules. In a major change, several governments have scrapped the pre-departure PCR test for inbound travelers. Easing restrictions for fully vaccinated travelers is seen as a boost to international travel.







BAHRAIN :

Starting from 4th February 2022, passengers coming to Bahrain will no longer need to present a PCR test before boarding as per the Civil Aviation Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain. - Non-vaccinated passengers must have to follow precautionary quarantine. Passengers must still need to follow to precautionary measures in force in the Kingdom. The new update came after a decision from the Government Executive Committee.





KUWAIT :

Starting from 20th February 2022, Kuwait has scrapped the pre-arrival PCR test requirement and home quarantine for fully vaccinated passengers coming to the country. See Also : Saudi Arabia announces new travel restrictions 

- However, a negative PCR test requirement is still must for non-vaccinated passengers. They need to go for one week home quarantine after their arrival. On the 7th day, they need to conduct a PCR test of their arrival. Quarantine period can be ended soon, if they tested negative.




INDIA :

Starting from 14th February 2022, There is no pre-departure PCR test required for fully vaccinated passengers to India for over 85 countries. The government will allow passengers to upload their certificate of completing vaccination.

- Earlier this, India said that passengers from more than 80 countries will be allowed to travel to the country with just a negative PCR test or a certificate of completing the primary vaccination schedule. - On February 10, India dropped the 7 day quarantine rule, as well as the at risk category list of countries.




Countries who dropped PCR test requirement :

Countries like Finland, Singapore, Brunei, Croatia, Netherlands, UK, Sweden, France, Cyprus, Denmark, Greece, Portugal, Norway, Switzerland, Thailand, Egypt, Lebanon, Turkey and Vietnam also dropped PCR test requirement for vaccinated travelers before entering into their entry points.

Countries planning to drop PCR Test :
