GACA updates Travel procedures circular for Airlines To and From the Kingdom


The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in Saudi Arabia has issued a circular to airlines regarding updating of travel procedures to and from the Kingdom. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Pinterest







GACA in its circular stated that, it must be ensured that citizens departing outside the Kingdom have received the booster dose of the Corona vaccine, with the exception of those who are below 16 years of age, or the exempted groups, according to what appears in the application of Tawakkalna.

- All arrivals to the Kingdom, including Saudi citizens, must carry a negative approved PCR test certificate within 48 hours, from the date of departure to the Kingdom. Related : Ministry of Interior announces new travel restrictions related to corona virus in Saudi Arabia

- However, there will be exception for those who are below 8 years of age, taking into account the regulations of countries of arrival related to virus analysis procedures for children.





- A Saudi citizen whose results show that he is infected with the Covid-19 is allowed to come to the Kingdom, after 7 days have passed from the date of taking the positive sample for those who completed receiving the approved vaccine doses in the Kingdom.

- While for Saudi citizens those who did not complete receiving the doses can enter into Kingdom after 10 days from the date of taking the positive sample, without the need for a re-test. Similar : King Fahd Causeway updates travel procedures to and from Saudi Arabia

- The GACA highlighted that the procedures will begin at 1 AM on Wednesday, 9th February 2022.
