Saudi Arabia registered a first case of 'Omicron' variant for a citizen coming from Africa


The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia announces the monitoring of a case of mutated strain 'Omicron' in the Kingdom for a Saudi citizen coming from one of the North African countries, an epidemiological investigation was conducted. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Linkedin







The Ministry confirmed that all the necessary measures have been taken, 'Omicron' infected person and his contacts were isolated, and approved health procedures were completed, as per the report of Saudi Press Agency. - This comes in line with the efforts of the Ministry of Health and the Public Health Authority “Prevention” in investigating and dealing with the epidemiological situation of the Corona virus and mutated strains on an ongoing basis, procedures for test the genetic sequence of the virus, and the efforts of national authorities in combating the pandemic, including procedures for monitoring outlets.
