100,000 fine on Employers for employing Expat workers illegally in Saudi Arabia


The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia has warned of hefty fines up to 100,000 Saudi Riyals will be slapped on any company that hires expatriates in violation of the labor and residency regulations.







Jawazat also said, the same penalty will be imposed on any company that allows its expat workers to engage in jobs for their own personal benefit or work with employers other than original employers. - The Violated companies will also face a ban from recruiting foreign workers for a period of up to 5 years, including the publication of violated company in local media at their own expense.

- The Manager with illegally hiring expat workers will be sentenced to 1 year jail term, followed by deportation, if the manager is an expatriate. The fine value will be multiplied with the number of expat workers involved in violation. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Google News





- The Jawazat in Saudi Arabia called the public to inform of such cases of violations of residency, labor and border security regulations by calling the number 911 in Makkah and Riyadh regions and 999 in all the rest regions of the Kingdom.
