A Royal order issued to grant Saudi citizenship to highly skilled and Innovative Expats
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia issued a honorable royal approval to grant Saudi citizenship to a number of highly talented and innovative people with rare expertise and specializations. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Telegram
This comes in line of the royal order to open the door to high-skilled professionals in fields of legal, medical, scientific, cultural, sports and technical competencies and in a way that contributes to promoting the wheel of development and benefits the Kingdom in various fields. - This also comes in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to improve an attractive environment in which human competencies can be invested and attract top level professionals and creative people.
- The royal approval decision came as part of the economic and social reform plans of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, to drive the economy away from its dependence on oil.
- Last month, Saudi Arabia issued the first batch of premium residency visas to investors, doctors, engineers and financiers who wish to live in the Kingdom. The premium residency visa program grants foreign nationals and their families long-term visas and privileges that were previously not available to non-Saudis.
