An important warning from Riyadh Municipality regarding Public parking
The Riyadh Municipality (Amanat Muntaqa Al Riyadh) in Saudi Arabia confirmed that public parking in front of commercial establishments is a “right for everyone,” and the law prevent their reservation or bookings to the establishment’s customers.
The secretariat of Riyadh clarified that the parking lots on the road are a "public right", and it is not allowed to close them or allocate them to customers of a specific facility, highlighting that, it will be monitored through field tours of our observers, as well as residents reports through the 940 call Center. The Riyadh Municipality (Amana Riyadh) added that the establishment will be alerted first to correct the violation of public parking, and then open parking spaces to the public before applying the regular penalty.
