Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health reveals the possibility of adding 3rd dose of Corona vaccine
The official spokesperson of the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdali, said that the Kingdom has currently providing the additional “stimulant” dose for certain groups, which have been scientifically proven to need it, who suffer from chronic renal failure, or who have organ transplants. During his call with Saudia Tv, He said that the Ministry of Health is currently preparing and covering the way for the vaccination of age group of 60 years and above and who have completed more than 8 months after receiving the 2nd dose.
- On the possibility of adding a 3rd dose, even if optional, Al-Abdali explained the possibility of adding other categories during the coming period, stating that the Ministry of Health will announce, first of all, if any updates in this regard. - Today, Saudi Arabia reports just 42 new corona infections, 36 recoveries and 3 deaths, raising the total cases of Corona in the Kingdom to 547,357 of which 536,406 recovered with 8,730 deaths.
- Active cases of Covid-19 in Saudi Arabia further raised to 2,221, while the critical cases from the active cases drops to 164. Jeddah tops in active cases with 208, Madina with 107 and Riyadh with 103 active cases.
- Saudi Arabia has so far provided 42.72 million (42,727,122) doses of Corona vaccine all over the Kingdom, of which people who received two doses are 19,204,370 and the people who received first dose are 23,522,752 and the elderly people received 1,663,148 doses of vaccine against corona.
