Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia ranks First in Institutional Excellence and Spending Efficiency


The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia achieved first place among ministries and second place among government agencies in the general evaluation of the second half of 2021 for the “Pillars of Spending Efficiency Sustainability” program implemented by the Spending Efficiency and Governmental Projects Authority.







The authority recently announced the government agencies that won the Practical and Institutional Excellence Award in Spending Efficiency for its third session.

- The Institutional Excellence Award is based on progress in the Spending Efficiency Sustainability Pillars Program, with the aim of raising the readiness to achieve spending efficiency in an autonomous and sustainable manner as per the best global and local practices without affecting the quality of services. - This first place for the Ministry of Health comes despite the challenges that the Ministry has faced during the recent period, to address the Corona pandemic, and to maintain an important life role during this pandemic, while continuing to achieve important goals in the large and ambitious health transformation project.





- This award embodies the ministry's excellence in 5 pillars of spending efficiency, which are "leadership and strategy, spending efficiency practices, capabilities, initiatives, results and impact."

- Today (On 2nd Sep), Saudi Arabia confirmed just 177 corona cases, 279 recoveries and 8 deaths, raising the total infections in the Kingdom to 544,811 of which 533,430 recovered with 8,560 deaths. Recommend : New istimara fee is to link with fuel consumption in Saudi Arabia





- Saudi Arabia's active cases of Corona virus falls to 2,821 of which 824 are critical. In the last 24 hours, the health ministry performed 55,742 corona tests, so far 27,561,054 covid-19 tests since the beginning of the pandemic.

- Saudi government provided more than 37.54 million (37,547,550) doses of Corona vaccine all over the Kingdom through its 587 vaccination centers, of which first doses are 22,321,156 and second doses are 15,226,394, while elderly people received 1,599,994 doses of Corona vaccine.
