Kuwait resumes direct flights with India starting Today (7th September)


Kuwait resumes direct commercial flights with India from Today (7th September, Tuesday), announced the country's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Authority on Monday, While direct flights to Egypt resumed on Sunday. Join Saudi Expatriates on Whatsapp group







The first flight to Kuwait is scheduled to arrived at 6 AM said Aviation Control Director Raed Al-Taher. The DGCA has scheduled 5 flights a day, as per the seat capacity agreed upon by 2 countries, in accordance with Kuwait's Cabinet recent decision to increase the airport's capacity. - The decision of resuming flights was first announced last month but without giving a time frame for implementation. Kuwait had suspended international flights to several countries including India and Egypt on the advice of health authorities due to raise in Corona cases.





- Kuwait's Cabinet also announced that sports fan will be allowed to enter stadiums with the opening 2021-2022 season. The Centre for Government Communication revealed that only vaccinated fans will be allowed into stadiums.

- Last month, United Arab Emirates (UAE) lifted ban on entry of passengers from India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Uganda. Those who have a valid residency permit of UAE and are fully vaccinated, at least 14 days prior to travel are included in exempted category.
