Corona virus infection affects all age groups including Infants - Ministry of Health
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia stated that the Corona virus can be transmitted to any age groups, including infants, adding that the recovered person can receive the first dose of the vaccine after 10 days of infection.
The ministry explained it in response to a query from a citizen in this regard on Twitter, who asked, "Can 2 years old infected with the Corona virus". The ministry stated that, "It is possible for Corona virus (Covid-19) infection to be transmitted to and from all age groups".
- Earlier this, the Ministry of Health clarified that according to the current recommendations, those recovering from corona should receive 2 doses of the vaccine, and the first dose of the vaccine can be obtained after at least 10 days of infection. - The Ministry added that receiving second dose increases protection against severe infection of the corona virus mutation.
- Today, Saudi Arabia confirmed 1,146 new corona infections, 1,086 recoveries and 11 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total infections in the Kingdom to 525,730 of which 506,089 recovered with 8,237 deaths.

- Saudi government has provided more than 26.72 million (26,725,748) doses of the vaccine against corona virus all over the Kingdom, in which first doses are 18.72 million (18,728,206) and second doses are 7.99 million (7,997,542) and the elderly people received 1,463,104 doses.
