Vaccination certificate is mandatory for International Umrah pilgrims


The official spokesman for the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Eng. Hisham Saeed, said that the number of beneficiaries of the Umrah application has reached more than 15 million so far, explaining that immunization is a condition for getting a permit to perform Umrah.



He clarified that ministry's mechanism for the pilgrims coming from outside Saudi Arabia during holy Ramadan, stating the health status of the pilgrims is linked with Tawakkalna app.

- The foreign pilgrims who have their vaccination certificate against coronavirus shall proceed to one of the Inaya centers in Makkah to verify the authenticity of the certificate. Similar : Ministry sets rules for Umrah pilgrims coming from abroad

- After which the Inaya center official will fix for them the date and time for performance of Umrah and Prayers at the Makkah's Grand Mosque.

- He reviewed the standards of safe transport service through the approved centers of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, noting that the most important requirements are that the number of passengers does not exceed 50% of the bus’s capacity.

- Maintaining a safe distance inside the bus, providing sterilizers and making sure of passenger permits before boarding the bus, in addition to carrying pilgrims and the worshipers luggage carry themselves while riding the bus, pointing out that the Ministry of Hajj provided 2,500 buses, all of its workers are secured. - More than 10 million domestic and international pilgrims performed Umrah before Ramadan using Eatmarna app, since the resumption of Umrah service on 4th Oct, 2020.
