Kuwait to send Oxygen Supplies and Relief aid to India to Combat the Corona Pandemic


The Kuwait Cabinet of Ministers during their weekly meeting announced that Kuwait will immediately be sending oxygen supplies and relief aid to India, which is facing high numbers of deaths and infections of Covid-19 for a 5th day in a row.



According to Kuwait News Agency, This move comes within the framework of the distinguished friendship ties between Kuwait and India that reflect solidarity with the friendly Indian people.

- The meeting expressed deep concern and regret over the worsening health situation in India due to the spread of the new mutated strain of Covid-19, which resulted in growing number of deaths and infections due to the lack of Oxygen in hospitals. - Kuwait is amongst several countries that have rushed to India's help as the country is struggling with a spike in corona related deaths. Footages of social media shows the situation of the country, where bodies being burnt in makeshift facilities offering mass cremations.

- On Sunday, Saudi Arabia shipped 80 metric tons of liquid oxygen to India, as the country is running low on supplies due to an unprecedented spike om corona virus cases.

- The United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Qatar and other countries too organize support to help India fight a dangerous second wave of Corona virus.
