Saudi Arabia approves use of Oxford's AstraZeneca Corona virus Vaccine


The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has approved the import and use of the Oxford's AstraZeneca Corona virus vaccine within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.



The Health authorities will begin providing the vaccine in all regions of the Kingdom. The approval of vaccine was given based on data shared by the manufacturers and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority will additionally analyze samples from each incoming vaccine shipment before vaccinating the people. Recommend : Kuwait extends ban on foreign workers from entering into the country

- Other Gulf countries like UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain have already approved the use of the Oxford's AstraZeneca vaccine including others. Saudi approved the use of Moderna too, in addition to Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

- Saudi Arabia rescheduled its appointment for those who registered to receive their first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech corona virus vaccine, after the delay of supplying the vaccine by the company.

- Today, Saudi Arabia announced 315 new Corona cases, 349 new recoveries and and 4 deaths, by this the total number of Covid-19 cases reached 376,006 with 366,094 recoveries and 6,461 deaths.
