Kuwait suspends Commercial flights and closes its Border crossings until January, Sultanate of Oman closes its Borders for a Week


The head of the Government Communication Center, the official spokesperson for the Kuwaiti government, Tariq Al-Muzrim, announced the suspension of commercial flights to and from Kuwait International Airport, and the closure of its air, land and sea border crossings.



Al-Muzrim explained, in a statement that it was decided to start implementing the closure decision from 11:00 pm today until the end of January 1st, 2021.

- The Sultanate of Oman announced the closure of its land, air and sea borders for a week, fearing an outbreak of the new strain of the new Corona virus. 

- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had decided to temporarily suspend all international flights for travelers - except in exceptional cases - for a week, which could be extended for another week, with the exception of foreign flights that are currently in the territory of the Kingdom, so they are allowed to leave for fear of the spread of the new Corona virus. - European countries began to close their borders to those coming from Britain, and several countries prevented flights and trains from Britain due to fears of a new strain of the new Corona virus spreading quickly there.
