Bahrain's long serving Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa passed away at 84
Bahrain's long serving Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has passed away at the age of 84. He led his island nation's government for decades.
The Bahraini Royal Court officially mourned the deceased, who moved to the mercy of God Almighty this morning at Mayo Clinic Hospital in the United States of America.
- The burial ceremony will take place after the arrival of his body to the homeland Bahrain and the funeral ceremony will be limited to a specified number of relatives.
- King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, ordered the announcement of official mourning for a week with flags at half-mast and the suspension of work in government departments for a period of 3 days, starting from Thursday.
