 Saudi Arabia to create 17,000 jobs in Supermarkets & Hypermarkets by the end of 2021


The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) in Saudi Arabia has launched an initiative to create 17,000 job opportunities for Saudi nationals (Men and Women) in supermarkets and hypermarkets of Kingdom by the end of the year 2021.



The HR Ministry called applications from Saudi citizens seeking jobs for initiation of a programme to localize jobs in provision stores. The deadline of submitting the applications will expire after 8 days.

- The new Saudization program aims is to identify major companies and most developed ones, to which the conditions of participation in the hiring program in provision stores apply. Trending : Fine in Saudi Arabia for exceeding passengers in a vehicle

- The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development plans to qualify the competitors for the project in order to localize supply jobs as part of National Transformation Program.

- The number of supermarket employees stands near to 105,000 with 37,000 Saudi nationals in it, at a rate of 35% Saudization. While the number of hypermarket employees is around 48,000 in which 16,000 are Saudi citizens at a rate of 35%. Recommend : Saudi Police arrested 2 expats for trading sim cards on the Ids of others

- The competing companies will review the work methodology, in order to execute and develop the project's operational plan, as well as the proposed implementation scenarios reports local media.
