 Saudi Authorities closed 235 Shops in Jeddah for breaking Corona measures

Jeddah municipality's inspection teams has shut down 235 shops, including 51 workshops for violating health protocols of Corona virus over the past 3 days, reports local media.


The undersecretary of Sub-Municipalities Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Zahrani stated that the sub-municipalities have been assigned to ensure that the shops adhere to the municipal requirements and preventive protocols issued by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs.

- According to Saudi protocols, businesses are required to stick to the precautionary measures including providing their staff with disinfectants and sanitizers and monitoring the temperatures of staff and customers of shopping malls.

- The precautionary measures also includes sterilizing shopping trolleys, baskets after each use, sanitizing facilities and surfaces, closing children's play areas and fitting rooms in shopping malls and ready wear outlets. - Gatherings at shopping malls of workers or customers inside the mall or outside the mall in a way that are more than mentioned in precautionary measures and preventive measures, will lead to pay a penalty of 5,000 on each person that are more than the stipulated person, but not more than 100,000 SR.
