 Riyadh ranks 53rd in the list of World's Smart Cities Index for the Year 2020

Riyadh, The capital city of Saudi Arabia  jumps 18 positions to rank 53rd as world's smart city out of 109 smart cities index as per the International Competitiveness Center classification for the year 2020.



Abu Dhabi, The capital city of United Arab Emirates jumps 14 positions to rank 42nd and Dubai rose 2 spots to rank 43rd smart city in the world.  Trending : About 127,000 expats lose residency permits in Kuwait

- The classification of the Smart City Index of the year 2020 is done through a survey that focuses on the residents opinion of the services available in their city and the alignment of technological policies with the citizens needs.

- This year it was topped by Singapore with first position, followed by Helsinki with 2nd and Zurich with 3rd, Auckland with 4th, Oslo with 5th position, Copenhagen (6th), Geneva (7th), Taipei (8th), Amsterdam (9th) and New York at 10th place. - Indian cities drops its places, Hyderabad at 85th from 67 last year, New Delhi at 86th from 68, Mumbai at 93rd from 78 and Bangalore at 95th from 79th place in 2019.
