Saudi King Salman approves extending Expat Visas, Iqamas for 3 months for Expatriates outside the Kingdom

The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia announced that in a reference to the continuous efforts made by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to reduce the effects of the Corona pandemic on individuals, private sector establishments and investors, economic activities in the Kingdom, and take all preventive measures to prevent its spread, The following was kindly approved:




1. Extending the validity of the final exit visa for expatriates, with free of charge.

2. Extending the validity of the expired residency permit (iqama ) for expatriates who are outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the exit re-entry visa, which expires during the period of suspension of exit entry from the Kingdom for a period of 3 months without charge.

3. Extending the validity of the exit re-entry visa for untapped expatriates, And during the period of suspension of entry and exit from the Kingdom for a period of 3 months without charge.




4. Extending the validity of the exit re-entry visa for all expatriates outside the Kingdom, which expires during the period of suspension of entry and exit from the Kingdom for 3 months free of charge.

5. Extending the validity of the period of stay for expatriates who are in the Kingdom and who arrive on a visit visa, which ends during the suspension of entry and exit from the Kingdom for 3 months free of charge.

The source explained that, depending on the content of the royal order, these exceptions are subject to continuous follow-up, as needed.
