All the Grocery Stores in Saudi Arabia must provide e-Payments method by 10th May

All grocery stores in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are required to provide e-payment methods to its customers. The main aim of the decision is to reduce cash circulation during the Coronavirus outbreak, A deadline till May 10 has given to implement the new rule. The Ministry of Commerce and Investment's Program took this decision in order to combat with the commercial cover-ups and in an effort with Saudi Arabia's precautionary measures to slow the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus (Covid-19) reports Saudi Press Agency. - Earlier this month, World Health Organization (WHO) said its possible for the virus to spread through banknotes, WHO recommended to switch to contact less payment than cash transactions, Those who do use cash for purchases must wash their hands immediately whenever they handles cash.




- Saudi Arabia's government doing its all efforts in order to curb the spread of the corona virus, The Ministry of Health in the Kingdom Today reported 1141 new infections bringing total to 12,772 with 114 deaths and 1,812 recoveries. - The Ministry asks everyone to Keep washing their hands, Stay home, maintain social distancing and avoid gatherings. The Kingdom has also activated its active field testing at the workers housing in number of cities, After which the daily cases has been raised to 1000 plus.
