Saudi Arabia temporarily suspends Umrah Pilgrimage & Vists to the Two Holy Mosques for local Saudi Citizens & Expatriates

Saudi Arabia has suspended Umrah pilgrimage and visits to the Two Holy Mosques of Makkah and Madina for locals (Saudi Citizens & Expatriates) in the Kingdom after GCC residents and International residents after the outbreak of Coronavirus in various parts of the world reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The Council of Ministers in Kingdom stressed that the precautionary measures that Saudi Arabia has taken against Coronavirus to ensure the maximum protection and safety of Citizens, Expatriates, Pilgrims and Visitors. Recommend : Saudi Arabia restricts GCC citizens and residents from entering into Kingdom for 14 days 

- The decision on temporary suspension of Umrah pilgrimage and visits for Makkah Grand Mosque and Madina Grand Mosque will be reviewed regularly and reversed the decision once the situation becomes better said Saudi Press Agency, citing an official source in the Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior.




- Local travel agents of Umrah packages in Saudi Arabia are not taking any bookings and refunding the amount to those who paid after the news confirmed from Saudi Press Agency and various official sources. Most Viewed : Saudi Arabia confirms first positive case of Coronavirus

- All the local Umrah buses in Saudi Arabia turned back to their cities after temporary suspension of Umrah pilgrimage and visits to the Makkah and Madinah. Many people claimed that from Yesterday itself, check points did not allowed Umrah buses and asked to return back.
