Year-wise Iqama fee from 2019
After Dependent fee, the expat levy fee was introduced in January 2018 for companies where the number of expat employees is equal to or lower than the number of Saudi employees and for companies where the expat employees are more than the Saudi citizen employees. Trend: Saudi Expat Dependent Fee
Before the year 2018, companies with more expatriate employees than Saudi citizen employees were paying an expat levy fee of 200 Saudi Riyals per month, which is 2400 Saudi Riyals per year.
1Starting from January 2018, companies that have an equal or greater number of Saudi employees compared to expatriate employees will pay an expat levy fee of 300 Saudi Riyals per month, totaling 3600 Saudi Riyals per year. Recommend: Pay dependent fee for Exit re Entry
- If the companies have more expat employees than Saudi citizen employees, then the expat levy fee will be SR 400 per month, which equals SR 4800 per year.
2. In the year 2019, the expat levy fee will be SR 500 per month for companies that have an equal number of Saudi citizen employees and expatriate employees or more Saudi citizens than expatriates, resulting in a total cost of 6000 Saudi Riyals per year. Similar: Pay dependent fee on final exit
For companies with more expatriate employees than Saudi employees, the expat levy fee will be SR 600 per month, resulting in an annual cost of SR 7200 for each employee.
3. Starting in January 2020, the expat levy fee will be 700 Saudi Riyals per employee when the number of foreign employees is equal to or less than that of Saudi citizens, resulting in a total cost of 8400 SR. Related: Skip dependent fee if you are in this list
- An expat levy fee of SR 800 will be charged for each expatriate employee when the number of expatriate employees exceeds that of Saudi employees, resulting in an annual cost of SR 9600 for the company.
- Now the question is, will companies bear this huge fee for an expat? Big companies may manage to pay, but what about the small companies? Therefore, we suggest that you think wisely and prioritize your safety. Be prepared to go to your home country any time instead of being suddenly shocked. Insha'Allah, we hope and pray that the day when companies pressure us to leave will not come in our lives. Hot: Convert Arabic date to English date
