CORRECT YOUR NAME ON SAUDI IQAMA

If you are a new Saudi Expatriate and you received your iqama or muqeem card (residence permit in Saudi Arabia) for the first time, Then it is necessary to double check your Iqama/Muqeem name. Confirm, it is same as your passport name and the Arabic name pronounce same as English name. 





It is possible for few expatriates their name is little different (Incorrect) while comparing in passport or English and Arabic. But it is not accepted, You should change it and make it same as your passport. Your Iqama or Muqeem is not acceptable if the names are different whether it may be little or more than little.

- Banks will not accept your Iqama whether it is at remittance centers (while sending money to home country) or banks (while opening bank account in Saudi Arabia). As per SAMA (Saudi Arabia Monetary Authority) guidelines your Iqama will not be accepted if it is incorrect at your name.

- You will not get any Police Clearance Certificate from Saudi Arabia as your passport name is different from your iqama. Police Clearance Certificate is very useful while you are migrating for work to European countries. What to do if your Iqama Muqeem have Incorrect name?

You should go to your HR officer or government relation officer of your company and request him to change your iqama name as it is wrong.

- If your Iqama or Muqeem is mis named in English he can change online by accessing website and will get a new printed Iqama next day.





- If your Iqama is miss named in Arabic, he will go to Jawazath office and request them to change and will get a new printed Iqama next day.
