Riyadh Records 15.1 Million Tourists and SR33 Billion in Spending
The Riyadh region recorded strong tourism growth during the current winter season. By the end of the third quarter, the region welcomed more than 15.1 million tourists from within Saudi Arabia and from other countries.
This shows the increasing appeal of Riyadh as an important destination for business, entertainment, and leisure.

The increase of tourism in the area has a direct impact on the economy, as this number includes the money spent by both local and foreign tourists.
The authorities report that overall spending by tourists rose 18% from the previous year.
Reasons for this expansion include an increase in the range of events and activities available to tourists, better infrastructure, and more entertaining and welcoming venues.
