Cristiano Ronaldo Buys Luxury Villas at Red Sea Ritz-Carlton Reserve



Football star Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner, Georgina Rodríguez, have purchased luxury homes at Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, located within the Red Sea International destination in Saudi Arabia.

The homes are part of the Red Sea Residences, which are located on private islands about 26 kilometers from the mainland. Only boats or seaplanes can reach these islands, providing a high level of privacy and exclusivity.

A private retreat for family time Cristiano Ronaldo said he and Georgina felt an immediate connection to the destination.

“The Red Sea destination is truly exceptional in every sense,” Ronaldo said. He added that from their first visit, they felt a strong bond with the island and its natural beauty, describing it as a place of peace and tranquility.

By owning a home at Nujuma, Ronaldo said the family can enjoy complete privacy and comfort whenever they visit.

Ronaldo described the Red Sea destination as a “truly remarkable place,” saying that he and Georgina felt an immediate connection to its peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty. 

Ronaldo and Rodríguez purchased two villas at the resort. One is a three-bedroom villa for family use, and the other is a two-bedroom villa. They were among the first owners at Nujuma.

The couple has been visiting the Red Sea destination since the first resorts opened in 2023 and continues to explore other investment opportunities within the project. 

Luxury with a focus on sustainability

John Pagano, CEO of Red Sea International, said the purchase reflects the destination’s unique appeal.

He welcomed Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez to the Red Sea Residences community and highlighted the destination’s mix of luxury, nature, privacy, and adventure.

The Red Sea destination is designed to achieve a net positive environmental impact of 30% by 2040. This includes efforts to protect and enhance coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass beds, and native wildlife habitats.

A fast-growing global destination

The Red Sea destination currently welcomes guests at nine luxury hotels. Shura Island, the main hub of the project, is preparing to open the first of 11 planned resorts. The island will also feature a championship golf course, restaurants, retail outlets, and cultural attractions.

Red Sea International Airport offers direct flights to Riyadh, Jeddah, Dubai, Doha, and Milan. This places the destination within three hours of 250 million people and within eight hours of 85% of the world’s population.

As a key project under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the Red Sea development continues to attract global attention from high-profile visitors and investors looking for exclusive living combined with strong environmental responsibility.
