The Traffic Department made this clear through its social media account on X. Some of these kinds of violations are

* Drifting.

* Violations of establishing or operating driving schools.

* Violating the regulations about vehicle weights, dimensions, and regular inspections.

* Violating the regulations about workshops.

* Driving after your driver's license or vehicle registration license (Istimara) has been taken away (istimara).

* Violations of issuing international driving licenses.

* Selling and damaging vehicles outside of the Kingdom, and

* Violations related to vehicle showrooms. Most Viewed : 4 social media influencers fined and suspended for posting offensive content

- The 25% discount went into effect at the same time that the Traffic Department started following a royal order that says all outstanding traffic fines must be cut by 50% starting last Thursday, April 18.

- According to the Saudi Moroor, violations made after April 18 will be subject to article 75 of the Traffic Law, which lowers fines by 25% for single violations. If the fine is not paid by the due date stated by law, Article 75 says that the person who broke the law must go to jail, have their vehicle seized, and be subject to traffic penalties.

- At the request of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, the Traffic Department began reducing traffic fines by half. The discount applies to all violations that happened before April 18, 2024, as long as all fines must be paid within six months, from April 18, 2024, to October 18, 2024, in order to take advantage of the discount. The deal lets you pay fines in two ways, all at once, or separately for each violation. Subscribe to Saudi Expatriates on YouTube

- This important new plan aims to make things easier on citizens, expatriates, tourists, and GCC nationals by lowering fines for all violations committed up until the day before the discount period starts. The royal decree, which is enforced by the Ministry of the Interior, says that people who break any of four rules during the discount time will not be able to get the discount. Violators include drifting, driving while high on drugs or illegal substances, and going over the speed limit by more than 50 km/h on roads where the limit is 120 km/h or more than 30 km/h on roads where the limit is 140 km/h.
