Public Sector employees are not allowed to open Commercial Registry or engage in Private sector work


The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia confirmed that public sector workers are not allowed to open a commercial registry, conduct business or work in the private sector. Trending : Saudi Labor Law rejects discrimination in Employment







This came as a response from the Ministry on a question about the possibility of allowing teachers to open a commercial registry, participate e-commerce or provide training courses.

- Meanwhile, the Ministry of Commerce clarified the conditions for issuing a commercial register, which is that,

* The applicant should not be government employee and





* The capital should not be less than 5000 riyals.

- The Ministry of Commerce stated that, it is possible to immediately issue the commercial register and specify the activity to be participated online through this service link. Recommend : HR Ministry calls companies to issue must work regulations via Qiwa
