Amazon opens its new corporate office in Riyadh


Amazon officially opened its new corporate office in the Riyadh Front district in the capital city Riyadh of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. With this opening Amazon is also working to launch an initiative to empower and train Saudi talent. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Linkedin







The Amazon's new office will house employees from various sectors of the company's operations in Saudi Arabia, including e-commerce, smart devices, Amazon Payments Services, Amazon Internet Services and Amazon Advertising.

- Amazon's new office is located in the Riyadh Front Tower, the tallest in the area, which gives an ideal work environment to attract and retain talent. Since the company launch in Saudi Arabia in 2020, Amazon has recruited over 1,400 people in its various sectors and the new office to attract more local talent to join the company and to help Amazon innovate on behalf of customers. - The Vice President of Amazon Middle East and North Africa said, "We are pleased to inaugurate our new office in the capital of Saudi Arabia, confirming our commitment to serving Amazon customers, vendor partners and employees in the Kingdom, as well as supporting its social and economic growth in line with the Saudi Vision 2030. We will continue to develop our investments in the Kingdom across various sectors, including e-commerce, smart devices and Payment services including others".





- Along with opening of new office, Amazon is also working to launch a new initiative to train local talent, with details of scheme due to be released later in the year.

- The Director of Amazon GCC, Abdo Chlala in his statement said, "At Amazon, we talk about hiring builders who will help us invent and innovate on behalf of our customers. With our new office, we look forward to welcome not only our existing builders, but attract and develop new talent through our upcoming talent program". - Earlier in March, Amazon also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ministry of Investment and the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority to support SMEs across the Kingdom. The MoU will enhance Amazon's presence in the local market, allow tens of thousands of small and medium enterprises to sell their products to millions of customers all over the Kingdom and help scores of entrepreneurs set up their logistics businesses.
