Saudi Arabia to implement the decision of preventing Work under sun from 15th June
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia is preparing to start the implementation of the decision to prevent work under the direct sun, on all private sector companies, starting from Wednesday, 15th June 2022. The ban on working under the direct sun will be applicable on all companies throughout the Kingdom from 12 PM to 3 PM from 15th June 2022 until 15th September 2022.
- The Ministry clarified that this decision came in the interest of the safety and health of workers in the private sector and its commitment in providing a healthy and safe work environment for labors and to spare them what might cause them health risks. - The Ministry of Human Resources called on all employers to organize working hours as specified in the decision, in order to preserve the health and safety of workers and to avoid violations.
- There will be exemptions in some parts of Saudi Arabia for outdoor work ban under direct sun, where the temperatures are low in some areas. The branch of Human Resources Ministry will coordinate with such regions in this regard of taking decision, whether to work ban under the sun or not.
