Umrah season for those coming from Abroad ends on 30th Shawwal 1443 (31st May 2022)


The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia said that the Umrah season for those coming from outside the Kingdom on an Umrah visa, ends on the 30th Shawwal 1443 (31st May 2022). Join Saudi Expatriates on Telegram for latest updates







This came in response from the Ministry of Hajj to an inquiry about the closing date for Umrah related bookings ahead of this year's Hajj season.

- The last date for applying and to get an Umrah visa for those coming from abroad to the Kingdom is 15th Shawwal in coordination with the Saudi Foreign Ministry. Recommend : Is it possible to perform Hajj pilgrimage on Visit visa?

- This is due to the Kingdom is gearing up for receiving Muslims from abroad to attend the annual Hajj pilgrimage for the first time in the last 2 years.





- More than 5 million Muslims performed Umrah pilgrimage since the start of holy month of Ramadan, after Saudi authorities lifted most of the restrictions related to Corona virus. Read : Conditions for performing this year's Hajj pilgrimage for those coming from abroad

- This year Saudi Arabia to receive one million pilgrims for Hajj pilgrimage, out of which 850,000 are from outside the Kingdom and 150,000 from inside the Kingdom. 

- This year's Hajj pilgrimage is open for those who are below 65 years of age and have received vaccinations approved against Covid-19 by the Ministry of Health. International pilgrims need to submit a negative PCR test result of Covid-19 performed within 72 hours of the time of departure to Kingdom. See Also : Country wise Hajj Quota for the year 2022
