Hajj Quota for the year 2022 (1443) for various countries, Indonesia, Pakistan, India and Bangladesh with big share
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia issued the provisional Hajj Quota for this year 2022 (1443 AH) to each country including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, UK and other countries.
Earlier this, The Ministry announced that this year, it will allow 1 million pilgrims to perform the rituals of Hajj pilgrimage, the number includes both international and domestic pilgrims. Last two years Saudi Arabia suspended Hajj pilgrimage for international pilgrims due to the corona pandemic.
- Before the pandemic, Saudi Arabia is used to permit over 2.5 million pilgrims from all over the world to perform Hajj pilgrimage. This year the largest share of 85% percentage (850,000 pilgrims) of hajj quota from one million is allotted to international pilgrims as they were unable to perform in the last 2 years, while for local pilgrims the hajj quota for this year is set to 15% percentage (150,000 pilgrims).
- Indonesia is top in the list with big quota, then Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Nigeria. The African country Angola is at the bottom of the list of Hajj quota for this year with 23 pilgrims. Follow Saudi Expatriates
