Penalty for destroying or disabling Public utility facilities in Saudi Arabia


The Public Prosecution in Saudi Arabia announced penalties for intentionally destroying, cutting or disabling any expansions or facilities of public utilities, stating that the benefits of public utilities are available to everyone, and represent pioneering national projects and a high urban renaissance. The Public Prosecution through its official Twitter account said, It is prohibited to intentionally damage any of the extensions or facilities of public utilities, or intentionally cut them, or disrupt them, whether the perpetrator is an original or a partner, criminal accountability is decided in this regard.

- In addition to the compensation for all damages caused to the facility or third parties, including the costs of repairing the damage that it cause or compensation for the benefit lost by the facility or others. The verdict will be published at the expense of the violator.
