This year Ramadan month will be of 30 days and Monday, 2nd May will be the day of Eid Al-Fitr in Saudi Arabia


According to the Meteorologist, Dr. Khaled AL-Zaqaq, On the day of 29th Ramadan, which is on 30th April, the moon will disappear approximately 20 minutes before sunset and it will not be appear until 4 hours after sunset, which is at 11:28 PM on Saturday.







So this year's Ramadan will be complete 30 days, and Monday, 2nd May 2022 will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said Al-Zaqaq during a program on Al-Arabiya channel.

- The director of the International Astronomy Center, Eng. Muhammad Shwakat Odeh said that countries which started Ramadan from 3rd April, including Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Brunei, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Iran, Oman, Jordan, Morocco and Ghana. They will investigate the moon on 1st May, which is 29th Ramadan for them.





- The countries that will investigate the crescent on Sunday (1st May), it is not possible to sight the crescent on that day bay any means from the continent of Australia and its environs, it is possible with a telescope only from central and western Asia, most of Europe and Southern Africa. - It is possible to sight the crescent with the naked eye with difficulty from African countries except for its south, from western Europe, from the north of American continent and central South America. Crescent on that day will be possible to see with naked eye from United States and Central America.




- Majority of countries will investigate crescent on Sunday and will announce the period of Ramadan will be 29 days and that May 2nd will be Eid Al-Fitr.
