Saudi Moroor sets 4 conditions on Car window shades


The General Directorate of Traffic (Moroor) in Saudi Arabia has set the conditions for shading the car's windows, highlighting the importance of observing 4 conditions when shading.







Saudi Moroor clarified this in response to a question from one of the resident, who asked, Peace be upon you, Is it permissible to shade the car window completely? or how much is it allowed?

The official Twitter account of Saudi Moroor, specified the following 4 conditions for car window shades, which are

1. The car window should be transparent, vision must not be hided, and its percentage should not exceed 30%. See Also : Violation of not fastening seat belt also applicable on passenger on the front seat

2. The car window shall not reflect the image like mirror and shall not bear any decorations, inscriptions, images or similar, which limit the degree of transparency.





3. The car window should be one of the types allowed inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and which do not cause harm to humans or the environment, as set by the competent authorities.

4. The percentage of shading a car window can be exceeded, on some medical conditions, which requires medical reports. Recommend : Fine for not renewing license after its expiry period

Vehicles allowed and prohibited to be shading :

The General Traffic Department clarified the vehicles that allowed to be shaded are those that have a cockpit, rear seats, and side or rear doors and are designated for transporting people.




Vehicles that are not allowed to be shading :

Taxis, Daily rental vehicles, Sports vehicles (1 door), which can only accommodate the driver and companion, if they have rear seats and have separate windows, it is allowed to shade only that part of the rear seats, cargo transport vehicles.
