Saudi Health Ministry reports 2,585 new corona infections, Active cases jumps to 10,425
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia announced 2,585 new corona infections, 375 recoveries and 2 deaths after performing 121,722 covid-19 tests in the last 24 hours and on 4th January 2022.
After which, the total number of corona cases in the Kingdom jumps to 562,437 of them 543,129 recovered after performing 33,623,374 corona tests since the beginning of the pandemic, while 8,883 people left this world due to the complications with corona virus.
- Active corona cases raised to 10,425 of them 96 are critical and are receiving treatment in intensive cares, Riyadh tops the list with 2,480 active cases, Jeddah with 1,974, Makkah with 1,800, while Madina has 451 active corona cases. - The Ministry of Health also announced that, so far it has administered more than 51.55 million (51,552,428) doses of corona vaccine to Saudi citizens, resident expats and visitors all over the Kingdom through its 587 vaccination centers.

- The health ministry also states over 25 million (25,055,765) people received only one dose, while more than 23.24 million (23,245,486) doses were the second doses.
