Saudi Banks send an alert about updating Personal Data to avoid Financial Frauds


Saudi Banks have called its customers to update their personal data in order to avoid any attempt of financial fraud. The Saudi Banks through its official Twitter account tweeted that, "If you change any of your personal data, you must update it with the bank to avoid any financial fraud attempt".







- Earlier this, the Banking Media and Awareness Committee in Saudi banks revealed multiple fraud methods, explaining that their goal is one, which is to convince customers of their credibility in order to defraud funds. See Also : Saudi Arabia launches new 200-Riyals banknote

- The official account of the Saudi Banks Media and Banking Awareness Committee via its Twitter tweeted that, "Fraud has multiple methods to convince you of their credibility." The methods were as follows:

1. Pretend as official bodies and claim that there are deposits pending to you.

2. Pretend as financial institutions and investment companies with high profit rates.





3. Falsify the websites of well-known parties to get your information.

SAMA warns of new methods of Financial Fraud :

- Earlier this, The Central Bank of Saudi Arabia (SAMA) has warned of new methods of civil fraud, highlighting the need to beware of fabricated advertisements and newsletters.





- The official account of the Saudi Central Bank, designated to receive customer complaints via Twitter, said, "Do not be cheated by advertisements on social networking sites that show fabricated news bulletins about opening new investment channels for citizens," noting that it is one of the methods of financial fraud.
