No institutional quarantine for Abroad Umrah pilgrims who received 2 doses of Vaccines approved in Saudi Arabia


The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia clarified that institutional quarantine is not required for abroad Umrah pilgrims, who received two doses of Corona vaccine approved in Saudi Arabia. Like and Follow Saudi Expatriates on Facebook







Fully vaccinated abroad pilgrims can directly travel to the city of Makkah and can perform Umrah rituals without the need for institutional quarantine announced the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

- The Hajj and Umrah Ministry in the Kingdom also said that the period of stay for Umrah pilgrim coming from outside Saudi Arabia has been increased to 30 days. Trending : Health Ministry's message after 1st case of Omicron recorded in Saudi Arabia

- Before the travel ban following the outbreak of Corona pandemic, foreign pilgrims were used to stay up to 30 days in Saudi Arabia. when the temporary ban on Umrah pilgrims was lifted and the service resumed on 1st November, 2020, foreign pilgrims were allowed a 10-days stay in the Kingdom.





- All the abroad pilgrim who are 18 years and above will be granted a permit to enter Saudi Arabia and perform Umrah, as per the terms and conditions set by the Ministry of Health. While for the local pilgrims in the Kingdom, anyone of 12 years and above can perform Umrah.

- The Ministry said that the requirement for Umrah pilgrims from countries that are not in travel ban is only Immunization with 2 doses of Corona vaccine approved in the Kingdom, they are no longer required to comply with condition of Institutional quarantine, as per the report of Saudi Gazette. Recommend : 6 cases of birth costs covered by Medical insurance in Saudi Arabia

Three days Institutional Quarantine for Abroad pilgrims who vaccinated with WHO approved vaccines :

- However, Those who are vaccinated with 2 doses of vaccines approved by WHO (World Health Organization) required a 3-days institutional quarantine. Those pilgrims have to carry out PCR test after 48 hours of institutional quarantine and will be allowed to perform Umrah directly, if they submit a negative report of PCR test.





Cancellation of maximum 50 years limit for Abroad Umrah pilgrims :

- The Ministry has also cancelled the maximum age limit of 50 years for abroad pilgrims. Earlier this, the Umrah permit for abroad pilgrims was used to issue only for 18 years of age up to maximum 50 years of age. This cancellation also applicable for the permit to prayer in Grand Mosque, Al Rawdah Sharif at Prophet's Mosque and Visit to Prophet's grave.
