Jawazat : Required Validity of Passport to travel to Arab or Foreign countries from Saudi Arabia


The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia has set the stipulated period for the validity of the passport required for going to Arab or foreign countries, after the decision to lift the travel suspension for citizens.



The Jawazat through its official Twitter account explained that the validity of the passport should not be less than 3 months for travel within the Arab countries, and 6 months for the rest of the countries. - This response came from Jawazat to a citizen’s inquiry on Twitter account, asking, "How long is the stipulated period for the validity of the passport to travel to the Emirates? Is it 3 or 6 months? ".

- The Saudi Jawazat stated that, “Passports are issued or renewed for those of 21 years and over through their personal account on the Absher electronic platform.”

- The General Directorate of Passports had announced its readiness in all international ports (land, sea and air) to receive travelers, after the decision to adopt the effective lifting of the travel suspension for citizens, and the opening of the ports, from 1 AM of May 17, 2021.
