Kuwait suspends all Commercial flights from India due to worsening situation of Covid-19


The Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Kuwait announced that it had suspended all direct commercial flights coming from India, starting Today (24th April, 2021) until further notice.



The decision was taken on the instructions of the health authorities in the state of Kuwait and after an evaluation of the coronavirus pandemic status all over the world.

- All passengers arriving from India either directly or through any other country will be banned from entering into Kuwait unless they have spent at least 14 days out of India, added the Civil Aviation in its statement. Similar : UAE suspends all flights from India for 10 days due to corona

- The citizens of Kuwait (Kuwaitis), and their first-degree relatives (husband, wife and children) and their domestic workers are exempted from the decision.

- Operations of cargo flights will continue as usual from India.

- Earlier this, Several countries like United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Canada, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Indonesia, Kuwait, Pakistan, Oman have banned flights from India. While few countries issued advisories to its citizens from not to travel to India as the pandemic situation worsening in the country.
