Saudi Arabia's King, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques approved Support package for Hajj and Umrah sector


The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, has approved a package of incentives for individuals and companies that have been financially affected by the suspension of pilgrimages due to the Corona epidemic.



The approved incentives include the following. 1. Exemption of the annual fee for municipal commercial activity licenses for accommodation companies for a period of 1 year in the cities of Makkah and Madina.

2. Private sector companies operating in Hajj and Umrah sector will be exempted from paying the fees imposed on employees expatriates , the exemption period will be of 6 months. Trending : Ministry of Commerce calls companies to give special discounts to customers who received Corona vaccine

3. Renewal of the Ministry of Tourism licenses for accommodation companies in the cities of Makkah and Madina without any charge, for 1 year, it can be extended.

4. Iqama renewal fee for expats working in activities related to Hajj and Umrah sector will be postponed for 6 months, the amount to be paid in installments over 1 year.

5. Extension of the validity of Istimara of buses operated by companies to transport pilgrims for free of charge for a period of 1 year.

6. The collection of customs duties on new buses scheduled to operate during the upcoming Hajj season will be postponed for 3 months, with the amount to be paid in installments over 4 months, starting from its due date.
