 SPIMACO signed a deal with German company to provide Corona Vaccine in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Pharmaceutical Industries & Medical Appliances Corporation (SPIMACO) announced that it had signed an agreement of understanding with a German company to provide vaccine of Corona virus in Saudi Arabia.

SPIMACO reveals it in a statement that, it had signed with a German company 'CureVac' a leader in biomedical research, to provide the vaccine in Saudi Arabia, subject to getting the necessary approvals from the Minister of Health and the Food and Drug General Authority.

- The company explained that it will apply to get the necessary approvals from the Ministry of Health and the Food and Drug General Authority for a regulatory requirements related to the registration, supply and distribution of the vaccine and then the final agreement to the commercial terms. - SPIMACO explained that the memorandum of understanding includes the possibility of expanding supply and distribution rights at a later time to include the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman.

- The CEO of the SPIMACO Dr. Muhammad Al Sultan said that the 'CureVac' company has conducted successful clinical studies of the vaccine in the first phase and the clinical dosing phase and got supportive results of the completion of the 3rd phase of clinical studies, provided that the registration file is submitted to the European Medicines Agency (EMA), During the first quarter of 2021 as per the plan set by the company. - The Vaccine is distinguished by the routine storage conditions, as it is done at temperatures ranging between 2-8 degrees Celsius, which facilitates the transportation and storage.
